Need Help Getting The Project Ready?

The Small Planet Workshop is here to help you to understand where & how to use its products, as well as how much you'll need. We are happy to work with you and help you to make the right choices for your project. The subjects can range:

Where to place the air barrier: interior, exterior or both?

Do I need an additional layer to prevent "Wind Washing"? Would that be tape, a membrane, or both?   It depends on the wall and the project goals. Sealing the exterior sheeting is always good. Whether you seal the sheeting or the house wrap can depend on where you place the air barrier and how tight you want the envelope.

How to plan for it at the design stage?   Draw the air barrier as a continous line around the envelope. It should always be coneected and never broken.

How to specify it on my CD's?   Simply place the product name and application on the detail sheet.

Can you "mark-up" my drawings and suggest where what goes? Yes we can. Send a PDF set to: info@smallplanetworkshop.com

Will I need a primer? When and where?   Rarely. Only when applying a tape to a concrete or other masonry.
